Stamping Concrete
by Norman
Q: Hi
My concrete patio is 14' by 24'. If I decide to stamp it, do I have to stamp all 336 square feet at once, or can I stamp a row of 14' by 6' at a time?
Thank you
A: Hi Norman,
You do not have to stamp the whole thing at once. Are you doing the concrete stamping yourself? If the concrete stamps are in your possession, then you don't have to worry about hiring a stamping contractor one year, then finding out he's moved away the next year and taken all his stamps with him.
Don't feel like you have to stamp it row by row either. Some people will put down a border one year, then go back and fill in another part the next. You could, also, for example, stamp the first and last rows one year, then the next two inward ones, etc, so that from year to year your patio design would stay symmetrical.
Good luck!
Alan
